Tomas Uildriks

Tomas joined Van Traa in 2018. He is part of the sector teams International Trade & Commodities and Transport & Logistics. His particular focus is in the field of international (commodities) trade, logistics, distribution and agency.

As a senior associate, Tomas is specialised in litigating and advising clients in these areas and drafting and reviewing of contracts (including general terms and conditions). This work also includes attachments of, for example, ships and other assets. 

Tomas has extensive experience in litigating before Dutch courts, as well as before various arbitration institutions such as UNUM, NOFOTA and the NZV.

During a secondment at an international insurer, Tomas gained first-hand experience within the insurance world. He provided daily support to the claims department of the Marine Cargo department. 

Tomas is on the editorial board of the Dutch Trade Law Magazine (Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Handelsrecht (NTHR)) and covers the area of (international) contract law. He is a member of the Young Professionals Grain Trade and the Club Oils & Fats (Netherlands).
