Sheralyn Heideman

Sheralyn has been working as a lawyer at Van Traa since 2015. She completed both the Private Law Legal Practice Master (master Privaatrechtelijke Rechtspraktijk) at the University of Amsterdam, as well as the Liability & Insurance Master at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her studies, she gained experience by following internships at law firms and an insurance company.

Sheralyn is specialised in liability and insurance law. She advises, inter alia , insurance companies, insurance brokers and insured parties. For the latter, she advises on cases with regard to employer liability, insurance policy coverage disputes, personal injury and contractual liability. She is also well-qualified to advise on company liability and equipment insurances.

Besides her work for Van Traa, Sheralyn is a board member of the Rotterdam Young Bar Association (Vereniging Jonge Balie Rotterdam); an association for young lawyers in the judicial district of Rotterdam. She is also a member of the Association for Young Professionals Personal Injury (Vereniging Jonge Professionals Personenschade (VJPP)), the Association for Liability Law and Damages (Vereniging voor Aansprakelijkheids- en Schadevergoedingsrecht (VASR)) and the Association for Insurance Science (Vereniging voor Verzekeringswetenschap (VvVW)).
